Create a wishlist online and share it via link
Collect your wishes in one place and share a single link with family and friends. Whoever wants to give a gift reserves it quietly — you don't see what, and the surprise lasts until you unwrap it.

How your wishlist works
One link for everyone
Viewing needs no account: open the link, see the wishes. To claim a gift, people sign in quickly — with Google, Apple or a code by email. You can disable or regenerate the link at any time.
Reserve instead of buying twice
Whoever wants to give a gift clicks “I'll give this”. Everyone else sees: already taken — and you coordinate in the group chat, photos included.
The surprise stays intact
Until the occasion, you don't see who reserved what — you find out what you're getting when you unwrap it. Afterwards you can look up who it was from and say thank you.
Wishes with real links
Every wish links to the product — with a picture, description, rough price and a link to the shop, so the right thing is guaranteed to end up under the tree.
Your wishlist in three steps
- 1
Collect wishes
Add products — via link, search or photo — and release them for your wishlist.
- 2
Share the link
Generate a share link and send it to the family group chat. That's all the others need to know.
- 3
Let them surprise you
Your loved ones reserve behind the scenes — and you get what you really wish for.
A wishlist for every occasion
Birthday, Christmas, wedding or a new baby – the flow is always the same: collect wishes, share the link, let yourself be surprised. What changes is who gets the link.
Birthday
Send the list to your family and friends group a few weeks ahead. Whoever gives a gift reserves it – and when you unwrap, everything really is there only once.
Christmas
One list per person, shared within the family: grandma, uncle and godmother reserve without coordinating. Parents enter the kids' wishes – the kids see nothing.
Wedding
The link goes on the invitation or the wedding website. Guests reserve with Google, Apple or a code by email – no app, no password. Until the party, you won't see who picked what.
Baby & baby shower
Stroller, sling, changing table – the big things go on the list once, the small ones as extras. Nothing arrives twice, and nothing arrives wrong.
Paper list, group chat or online wishlist?
A wishlist on paper or in the family chat works – until three people buy the same thing. The difference is what everyone else can see.
Duplicate gifts
- List on paper:
- Nobody knows what has been bought
- List in the chat:
- First to write blocks it – everyone else scrolls
- Online wishlist:
- Reserved is reserved – visible to everyone
Surprise
- List on paper:
- Gone as soon as someone asks
- List in the chat:
- Gone as soon as someone writes in the group
- Online wishlist:
- Stays: before the occasion you don't see a single reservation
Images & links
- List on paper:
- Description from memory
- List in the chat:
- Links get lost between messages
- Online wishlist:
- Every wish with image, price, shop link and note
Changes
- List on paper:
- Rewrite, redistribute
- List in the chat:
- One more message, one more scroll
- Online wishlist:
- Live – the link stays the same
What guests need
- List on paper:
- The piece of paper
- List in the chat:
- A seat in the group
- Online wishlist:
- The link – a quick sign-in to claim, no app

Frequently asked questions
How much does the wishlist cost?
Nothing. ShineLists is free, all features included — hosted on servers in Germany, without tracking cookies.
Do my friends and family need an account?
Not to look: anyone with the link can see the list. To claim a gift, people sign in quickly — with Google, Apple or a code by email, no password. There’s a reason: this way nobody can pose as a guest and peek at what’s already taken — not even you.
Can I see who reserved what?
Not before the occasion, and that's on purpose: reservations stay invisible to you so the surprise lasts until the very end. Only the other gift-givers see what's already taken — signed in, and without you. If you've set a date, you can see who promised you what from the day after — givers are told this beforehand.
What occasions is it good for?
Birthdays, Christmas, weddings, baby showers, first day of school — anywhere several people want to give gifts and nothing should be bought twice.
Which shops can I add wishes from?
Any. A wish gets on the list via link, search or photo – you are not tied to one retailer and can add the small shop around the corner just like the big one.
Can I change the list after sending the link?
Yes, anytime. The link stays the same, and whoever opens it always sees the current state. Reservations are kept.
What if the link ends up in the wrong hands?
Switch it off with one click or generate a new one – the old link stops working immediately. Reservations already made are not lost.
Can I set a date for the occasion?
Yes. Enter the day it all happens – birthday, Christmas Eve, wedding. The shared page then says “34 days to go”, and the link preview in WhatsApp and the like shows the date and the number of wishes, like an invitation. Without a date there is simply no countdown.
Can the gift-givers coordinate?
Yes. Every wishlist has its own group chat for everyone who signs in to give something — with replies, reactions and photos, and you can mention a wish directly. You, as the person with the wishlist, never see it, not even after the occasion.
