Changes to the Terms

This page lists what changed in our Terms of Use and when — one point per section affected. Every earlier version remains available in full.

Section 8: If you separately release your photos for advertising outside the platform, you expressly also consent to us granting the respective social network, upon upload, the rights it requires for this under its terms.
Section 8: A post published there may outlast the deletion of your account; after a withdrawal we will retract it as far as this is possible and reasonable for us.
Section 8: To make that enforceable, for every published post we record which photos it contains and which account they come from.
This only affects those who give the separate consent. It was reset with this change and has to be given anew — without a fresh yes, the extended scope applies to no one.

Section 1: The blanket application “as amended from time to time” has been deleted. Later changes only become part of the contract through the procedure in Section 14.
Section 3: Responsibility for your own account and login details, and the minimum age, are now spelled out.
Section 7: If you add an Amazon link without your own partner tag, we add ours and label the link as advertising.
Section 9: The notice and complaint procedure under the Digital Services Act is described, including reasons given and the option to object.
Section 11: You will be heard before a suspension or removal, except in the cases listed there.
Section 12: Liability now follows the statutory framework instead of a blanket exclusion.
Section 14: Changes to these terms run through a two-stage procedure — silence suffices only outside the core of the contract; changes to the core only take effect with your active consent.
Section 16: Choice of law and place of jurisdiction no longer deviate from the statutory rules for consumers.
Section 8 (added on 28 August under the same version date): Content also includes routes you draw yourself, with waypoints, stop names and details of date and duration.

Section 8 was restructured and is considerably more detailed: it now states step by step what happens to uploaded photos.
New: what you warrant when uploading — that you took the photo yourself or have the author's permission, that recognisable people have consented (sections 22, 23 KUG), particular care with children, no third-party trade marks or works.
New: which rights you grant us and what “editing” specifically covers (cropping, scaling, overlaying text and image elements).
New: automatically generated sharing images — story images for social networks and link previews.
New: place photos and cover images — when your photo becomes a place's cover image and what follows from that.
New: advertising for the platform outside the platform, expressly with a right to object.

Section 8: A separate licence applies to photos you upload to the shared product catalogue — catalogue images are used product-related by the entire community.
Section 8: Where several photos are available for a product, a community vote decides which one is shown as the product image.
